Storing Virtual Disk Images on Network Shares

This article applies to:

Description

Aldenate Secure Disk allows storing virtual disk images on shared folders in your network. It is is safe to store and mount a virtual disk image on a network share since Aldenate Secure Disk automatically encrypts the data transmitted over network.

Aldenate Secure Disk uses strong encryption algorithms (Advanced Encryption Standard, BLOWFISH, CAST) to encrypt the data, so even if the attacker is able to intercept your network traffic he must know the encryption key of the virtual disk image to be able to decrypt the data. Encryption key is not transmitted over the network, therefore it is practically impossible to decrypt the data.
